I worked for utility that outsourced its payroll work to Capita. It took them months to get it right. They were better at winning than fulfilling contracts back then. G4S and Serco seem to work similarly.

My Mrs's company were bought out by them last year. Complete cut throat cunts. Literally changed the structure of them within weeks and culled all of their top management, despite saying they would all be kept on during the tender process.
she got a decent payout due to having shares in the company. But from what she tells me is that they are very corporate orientated and won't hesitate to boot your arse out the door if you're a shirker.
If however, you are a grafter and get your face known by their top management you've a job for life. They have a policy on pay rises and this is only if you're promoted and capped at 10%.

Joke Whole is way off though as they lost pretty much all of the contracts they were tendering for over the last 3 months hence a massive crash in the stock price.
Slightly better success rate under Labour mind.

Focused mostly in public sector, quite big in telephony, UC&C an collaboration. sub-contract the majority of the work they win on tender to various SI's and boutique PS companies.
Well known in the industry to be pretty poor payers and stingy on corporate benefits.
I know several people that have worked for them and all of them left within a year.

I suspect if you dig deep enough I suspect you'll find several personal links in the company to people in government departments who have the power to award, decline or cancel contracts.
